Elise is sitting on the floor in the aged building. She’s wearing a light blue sun sundress and flats. Her wrists are bound together and then to her legs, just above the ankles. She’s just there waiting, and rocking. Her tongue is jamming out of her face crevice with 2 chopsticks bound to it in the most painful, uncomfortable way. Her hair is corded in the back making her to keep her head thrown backwards. She alternately grimaces, tries to gulp (in a wet, gaspy way) and rocks herself to assuage the discomfort. A tear runs from the corner of her right eye. She bellows at times, her dissatisfaction getting larger more and more intense. Her tongue switching color. I walk in and address her. She’s been given some lines to repeat back to me and now it’s time to hear them.
