A film’s title telegraphs the subject and story. And when director Andrej Lupin titled "Ryana Sade" he evidently stated his artistic intent: to introduce an interlude featuring a duo Ryana Sade. But a title, no matter how clear, simple, and direct it may be, cannot carry the whole film and supply the message on its own. If he’d cast a woman and a boy without the necessary emotional connection, or the ability to at least pretend to be "Ryana Sade," the finished work would falter.
