Sybil Hawthorne is visibly shaken before PD even paws her for the first-ever time. She is chained, fairly uncomfortably, to a chair and cannot see a thing while he quietly talks on the phone. As he neglects her she tests her bonds, but there is tiny doubt they will hold firm. Sans warning she is hammer with a drip of freezing water and instantly she embarks to fracture. She knows PD all too well. She knows she cannot even imagine the twisted things that run through his head and that scares her more than anything she could imagine herself. When he does let her see him work it is nearly as terrifying as the full darkness.
