A film’s title telegraphs the subject and story. And when director Andrej Lupin titled "Victoria Mur" he obviously stated his artistic intent: to introduce an interlude featuring a duo Victoria Mur. But a title, no matter how clear, simple, and direct it may be, cannot carry the entire film and supply the message on its own. If he’d cast a woman and a man without the necessary emotional connection, or the capability to at least pretend to be "Victoria Mur," the completed work would falter.
